First off: How freaky is it to see me posting ANYTHING to DeviantArt again? Has the world ended?! LoL Okay, now to be serious:
This is a request for help from all my friends that I know from when I was writing. I know that was a long time ago. I have a paper due in World Lit I and I really need help. I have to write a story that would go into "The Thousand and One Nights". What I need from my old writing friends is a bit of help like we used to do when we were writing for each other. I need either a prompt like we used to give each other, or a song like some of you used to give me. I don't want anyone to tell me what to write, so no "a merchant accidentally kills a demon's son and finds a way to get out of getting killed in return". *for those of you that don't know, that is actually one of the stories in "The One Thousand and One Nights"* I think that doing that would be cheating. I just need that little boost to get my inspiration going like we used to do.
As a thank you for the help, if you guys want me to, I will post the story after I turn it in. I don't want to chance getting accused of plagiarism, since I have to turn it in to a site that checks for this, so I will post it a couple days after I turn it in. It isn't due for a week or two.

Removed Grave Pictures

I removed three of the graveyard pictures I had on here today. Local Witch's Grave 1, 2, and 3 were all three removed. I was sick and tired of the comments I received about not only the category I ended up putting them in but the title as well. I even got some about the legend I had in the description section! I am tired of trying to defend myself every single time I get on here. Especially since I NEVER GET ON HERE ANYMORE! But it seems like every time I do come on this damn site, I have at least one comment telling me off about one of those pictures. So. Here it is. You have won. Are you fucking happy now? Now go find someone else to screw with.

~Balthazorbaby Did Not Steal My Story!

I know it has been a long time since I have done a single thing on this site, but if you have read my old journal entries, you will understand why. But that is not why I am writing this.
I get on here periodically because I still get messages and notes from people and I want to see what new stuff my wonderful friends on here have done. Though I am ashamed to admit that I haven't had time to actually read anything in a very long time.
I got on here tonight, though, because of an email I received. I might just have to take my email addy off my profile page if this is the trouble that happens because of it. I will not name the person since they were actually well-meaning, and I do not want to embarrass them any further. Besides, I don't know their profile name on here or even if they HAVE a profile. That said, this person obviously does NOT read author comments. So, I will make a statement here in case someone else attempts to be "well-meaning".
The wonderful and talented author,
absolutely, without a doubt, DID NOT STEAL LADY TWILIGHT FROM ME! I started that story so long ago, I would have to actually look at the posting date to know when. It was some silly idea that came to me (I think) when I was only half awake in bed and I figured why not. I wrote 8 chapters and then found the fun of writing slash and other things. Then joined a club... where I met I do believe, and life spiraled out of control and left Lady Twilight behind. My writing style changed drastically. My interests in HP fanfiction changed drastically. I grew, and unfortunately, grew away from the story. It got to the point where I was actually disgusted with the story. I just couldn't get into it anymore. I would stare into space when I went to write a new chapter. I had a solid foundation of where I wanted the story to go, but it wasn't in me anymore to actually write it. I was about to start ripping my hair out. I had people asking me when I would continue it, and I hate -LOATHE- leaving a story unfinished. I was actually debating just taking the story down and falling to my knees to beg my readers' forgiveness for the horrible act.
Then my salvation came. My friend asked if she could continue the story for me. She said she enjoyed it and since I had said I didn't think I could finish it, she would do it for me. I freely handed it to her. Told her she could post all my old chapters on her page (and any other site she might post on), edit it how she saw fit, even tear my version apart and make it something new. I THINK I asked her to state that the first 8 chapters were originally mine (if she posted without changing it), but even if I didn't, she did state it, very blatantly!, that the first 8 were mine. I mean, really! It is obvious! She put a HUGE LINE of my icon blinking crazily, right there in her author comments! It is freaking huge! And bright! And BLINKING!!!! I really don't know how that person that sent me the email didn't see it!
Anyway, that is what I am here to say. As of this moment, the story belongs fully to to do with as she pleases. I no long make any claim to the story. I don't care what she does with it (though, from what I have read, she did a LOT better than my weak writing at the time did. LoL). She can do anything she likes with it. She now owns the story.
To make it official:
I, Mara, of dizzy mind and tired body, state that the fan fiction story, Lady Twilight, and the Original Character of the same name, is hereby willed to Balthazorbaby. I make no claims or rights to said story any longer. All rights and creative changes now belong to Balthazorbaby to do with as she chooses. If she decides to take the Original Character and weak plot and use it to make money, I will not seek any of the money she may make. All of it now belongs to Balthazorbaby.
*glares at crowd* Happy now, people? Was that official enough for you? There has been no plagiarism. No stealing. I mean, really, people! You would think that I would have noticed since she is on my friends list! *rolls eyes* Start reading the author's notes. It will save a lot of hassle and embarrassment. *snort*
I am actually thinking that I will just take the first eight chapters off of my page. That might make it even easier.

Holiday Wish List

Posted it on LJ already, decided to do it here since I am looking through friends' lists here.
Step 1.
Make a post in your LJ journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
If you wish for real-life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
Step 2.
Surf around your friends list (or friends friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

4. A lock of Ville Valo's hair. Or a tissue, shirt, anything. Just please no dirty underwear. *shudders* Even a fangirl has her limits. At least this one does.
5. Fan art of any of my stories, any of the stories [info]snickers_wiggle has written for me, or anything with Ville Valo or one of the Saints from Valo Palvonta.
6. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince DVD. Just came out and will be a while before I actually get around to going and getting it. Saw the movie and while I bitched and complained through the entire movie, I have a thing about having the complete collection.
7. Speaking of complete collections, would rather have my Stargate SG1 DVD collection complete before my Harry Potter one. *giggle* Still need seasons 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8 and the movie Continuum. WalMart stopped carrying them and couldn't find them anywhere else around here. Don't even care if they are used, as long as they are in good condition.
